Very expected game when bottom-ranked Temuco (0-9) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Castro (4-4) 85-71 on Friday. The best player for the winners was Argentinian forward Gabriel Hermosillas (202-1993) who scored 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Sean Lloyd (196-1996, college: SIU) chipped in 15 points. Castro's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Brazilian power forward Diego Dias Silva (207-1990) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and guard Pablo Campos (-2000) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Castro. They moved-up to ninth place. Temuco lost their ninth game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
