Important game to mention about took place in . Third ranked UCA (9-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging second-ranked Costa Rica (9-2) 50-47 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Costa Rica. Center Norma Duran (170-1997) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Rosa Reyes (162-1989) supported her with 8 points and 14 rebounds. Even 6 points and 15 rebounds by Alicia Abarca (165-1997) did not help to save the game for Costa Rica. Center Leslie Sermeno (176-1997) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the guests. UCA have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader Santa Tecla Elite.
