Top ranked Fenix (6-2) recorded its second loss on the court of third ranked Santiago Max on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Santiago Max 116-108. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Santiago Max outrebounded Fenix 51-34 including 23 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Franklyn Jaquez (197-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Figueroa chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Santiago Max's coach Melvin Sanchez used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Yensi Jimenez (189-1998) produced 30 points and 5 rebounds and center Andy Molina (201) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Santiago Max (5-3) moved-up to second place, which they share with Capitanes. Fenix at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Santiago Max is looking forward to face Del Patio (#4) in the next round.
