Regular Season Round 37: Rivadavia - Colon SF 90-85

There was an upset when higher ranked Colon SF (11-13) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Rivadavia (11-16) 90-85 on Wednesday. Point guard Stefano Arancibia (176-1997) stepped up and scored 21 points and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Tobias Cravero (197-1999) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Rivadavia's coach Sergio Andreoli used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Gianfranco Sinconi (204-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds and American forward Dwayne Russell (203, college: St.Thomas, FL) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Five Colon SF players scored in double figures. Rivadavia moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Colon SF keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Pergamino and Villa S.Martin. Rivadavia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Colon SF will play against Independiente (#5) in Santiago del Estero and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
