Rather predictable result when thirteenth ranked Brasilia (7-18) smashed at home bottom-ranked Cerrado (4-20) 86-65 on Thursday. They outrebounded Cerrado 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Douglas Dos Santos (201-1998) fired 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Gemadinha Sacco (183-1997) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. American point guard Keyron Sheard (188-1986, college: Chattanooga, agency: Haylett Sports) produced 15 points and the other American import guard Anthony Harris (196, college: Chicago St.) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Cerrado's coach Michael Rossi gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Brasilia maintains thirteenth place with 7-18 record. Cerrado lost their seventh game in a row. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Brasilia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cerrado will play against Sao Jose (#9) and hope to secure a win.
