There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Quilmes MP (10-15) lost to fourteenth ranked Pilar (11-16) in Mar del Plata 84-91 on Sunday. Pilar shot 61.8 percent from the field. American center Dishon Lowery (200-1998, college: OKBU) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Eduardo Gamboa (189-1984) supported him with 13 points and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 27 points and 12 assists by the former international point guard Luis Cequeira (179-1985) did not help to save the game for Quilmes MP. Forward Tomas Nally (202-2002, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. Five Pilar and four Quilmes MP players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pilar moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Rivadavia. Loser Quilmes MP dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with CAO Ceres and Montmartre.
