The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked San Isidro (23-6) in San Francisco on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by third ranked Ameghino (22-5) 110-67. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Ameghino dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to San Isidro's 34. Ameghino had a 28-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by San Isidro's players. It was a great evening for point guard Emiliano Lezcano (187-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 36 points (!!!) and 7 assists (on 15-of-18 shooting from the field). Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-1988) helped adding 18 points and 8 rebounds. Five Ameghino players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Federico Zezular (198-2001) with 13 points and power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-1997) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ameghino moved-up to second place.
