LNB top team - Los Leones (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Catolica (4-9) in Quilpue 98-69. Los Leones dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Catolica's 40. They outrebounded Catolica 42-31 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Los Leones players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Markus Kennedy (206-1991, college: SMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). The former international forward Darrol Jones (193-1994) helped adding 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Los Leones players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Manny Payton (183-1997, college: FSU) with 17 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import power forward Andre Pierce (207-1995, college: Lee JC, agency: BIG) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Catolica's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Los Leones have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Catolica at the other side keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost.
