Regular Season Round 38: Penarol - San Martin 55-51

Very expected game when 20th ranked San Martin (1-24) lost to seventh ranked Penarol (17-8) in Mar del Plata 51-55 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Franco Vinciguerra (186-2002) notched 17 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Facundo Tolosa (190-2002) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Penarol's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by Lorenzo Benay did not help to save the game for San Martin. Guard Bruno Dal Vecchio (190-2003) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Penarol moved-up to fifth place. San Martin lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games. Penarol will meet at home league's second-placed Instituto in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. San Martin will play against Quimsa (#10) and hope to win that game.
