Regular Season Round 34: Obras - Independ.O. 76-71

Everything went according to plan in Buenos Aires where fourth ranked Obras (20-7) won against 9th ranked Independ.O. (16-13) 76-71 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Luca Valussi (195-1998) scored 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard Pedro Barral (187-1994) chipped in 10 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side Salvador Giletto (195-1993) responded with 14 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Fernando Martina (201-1981) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Independ.O. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Obras moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Independ.O. keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Regatas. Obras will meet at home Olimpico (#5) in the next round. Independ.O. will have a break next round.
