Regular Season Round 15: Valdivia - Temuco 101-70

Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Valdivia (7-7) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Temuco (1-13) 101-70 on Sunday. Valdivia dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Temuco's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Pedro Sandoval (180-1989) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 6 assists. Cristian Segovia (-1996) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Five Valdivia players scored in double figures. Brazilian power forward Diego Dias Silva (207-1990) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and Uruguayan point guard Martin Perdomo (178-1995) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for Temuco in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valdivia maintains eighth place with 7-7 record. Temuco lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Valdivia will again meet bottom-ranked Temuco (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Temuco will have a break next round.
