Regular Season Round 3: Quetzales - Racers 80-82

Another exciting game for Racers (3-1) which played in Ciudad de Mexico against Quetzales (2-2). Racers upset home team edging them after exciting game by two points 82-80. Racers dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Quetzales' 22. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Daniela Soto (177-1995) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Jhoana Moran (157-1993) helped adding 21 points. Four Racers players scored in double figures. Racers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Cuban center Clenia Noblet (190-1987) with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Aniese Palmore (165-1994, college: UMW) scored 27 points and 4 assists. Racers will play against Lenadoras (#6) in the next round. Quetzales will play against Mexcaltecas and hope to get back on the winning track.
