Regular Season Round 2: Santa Tecla - Fantasmas 98-77

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Fantasmas on the court of Santa Tecla. Visitors were rolled over by Santa Tecla 98-77. They made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Santa Tecla shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Najeen Nawabi (186-1999) supported him with 26 points. Four Santa Tecla players scored in double figures. Even 27 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals by American guard Caleb Bowser (193, college: Georgian Court) did not help to save the game for Fantasmas. His fellow American import Nick Moore (198-1991, college: Alliance) added 17 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Santa Tecla will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fantasmas will play at home against Brujos to get more than just one victory in their record.
