Brujos smashed Santa Ana in Izalco 117-58. Brujos dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 26. Brujos forced 25 Santa Ana turnovers and outrebounded them 57-27 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Santa Ana's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brujos made 9 blocks. Dominican forward Juan De Los Santos (193-2002) scored 41 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Erick Yan (-2000) chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Erick Rojas (183-1996) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Irving Sandoval (180-1988) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Ana will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Brujos will try to continue on its current victory against Fantasmas in San Vicente.
