Regular Season Round 2: Praia - Sorocabana 65-58

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Sorocabana's road loss to Praia 58-65 on Friday. Praia shot 61.5 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Praia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Forward Guilherme Estevao (204-2000) notched 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Arthur Abreu (193-2002) supported him with 17 points and 4 steals. Even 21 points by guard Aquiles Ferreira (194-1998) did not help to save the game for Sorocabana. Leonardo Jacon (199-1996, college: Southeastern) added 9 points for the guests. Praia will meet Santos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sorocabana will have a break next round.
