The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Barrio Parque as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Barrio Parque smashed 6th ranked Independiente in Cordoba 97-49. They outrebounded Independiente 51-24 including a 41-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Barrio Parque looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Independiente's players. It was a great evening for Tomas Ligorria (195-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Nahuel Buchaillot (178-2000) helped adding 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Barrio Parque players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Tomas Allende (190-2002) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and guard Emiliano Correa (188-1991) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Barrio Parque (25-4) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Independiente lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Independiente will play next round against Echague trying to get back on the winning streak. Barrio Parque will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked GEPU in San Luis.
