Important game to mention about took place in Ciudad Obregon. Fifth ranked Venados (3-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (3-4) 105-103 on Tuesday evening. Venados made 23-of-24 charity shots (95.8 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jalek Felton (190-1998, college: UNC) who helped to win the game recording 45 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import power forward Alex Kaye Williams (203-1993) contributed with 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Deverell Biggs (185-1992, college: Texas Southern) replied with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and international center Alejandro Reyna (206-1997) added 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for Halcones de Ciudad Obregon. Four Halcones de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Venados went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Tijuana. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Guaymas. Venados will play against higher ranked Rayos de Hermosillo (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Halcones de Ciudad Obregon will play against Tijuana Zonkeys and hopes to get back on the winning track.
