The game between Top Four teams took place in Sao Paulo. Top-ranked host Vivo/Franca (26-0) defeated 4th ranked Minas (19-8) 94-90. Vivo/Franca looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Lucas Silva (208-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Georginho de Paula (197-1996) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Alexey Borges (185-1995) responded with 27 points and 8 assists and American power forward Eden Ewing (204-1997, college: Texas Southern) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Minas' coach Leonardo Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vivo/Franca have an impressive 26-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-0 record. Minas at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Vivo/Franca are looking forward to face U.Corinthians (#12) in Santa Cruz do Sul in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Minas will play at home against Corinthians (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
