Important game to mention about took place in Fortaleza. Fourteenth ranked Fortaleza (8-20) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (15-13) 79-77 on Wednesday evening. Even 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international guard Alex Garcia (190-1980, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Paschoalotto/Bauru. American point guard Dontrell Brite (175-1994, college: Mount Olive) added 15 points for lost side. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Fortaleza moved-up to thirteenth place. Defending champion Paschoalotto/Bauru keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Fortaleza will play against higher ranked Pinheiros (#6) in Sao Paulo in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play on the road against UNIFACISA in Paraiba and hopes to get back on the winning track.
