Regular Season Round 3: Vitoria - Blumenau 62-82

Rather expected game in Salvador where Vitoria (0-4) was crushed by Blumenau (3-1) 82-62 on Wednesday. Blumenau outrebounded Vitoria 51-30 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Leonardo Cravero (200-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Lucas Farina (186-1995) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 assists and 4 steals. Five Blumenau players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Edu de Oliveira (195-1983, college: EOSC) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and guard Victor Pedreira (191-1996) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Blumenau will meet at home Brusque in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vitoria will play against Osasco (#3) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
