Regular Season Round 3: Taurinos - Heroes 83-95

There was a small surprise in La Asuncion where Heroes (2-1) defeated Taurinos (0-3) 95-83 on Wednesday. Heroes dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Taurinos' 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Dominican point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) who scored 19 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Forward Kelvin Caraballo (198-1988) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dazon Ingram (196-1997, college: UCF) who recorded 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international guard Bryant Duran (180-1999) added 22 points respectively. Five Heroes and four Taurinos players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Heroes will meet at home Gaiteros (#5) in the next round. Taurinos will have a break next round.
