Leones edged Capitanes in Juana Diaz 103-101. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward Cameron Oliver (203-1996, college: Nevada) fired 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Luis Lopez (182-1998, college: PR-Mayaguez) chipped in 23 points. Leones' coach Sergio Hernandez used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International swingman Jonathan Rodriguez (196-1987, college: Campbell) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and international Devon Collier (203-1991, college: Oregon St.) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Leones and five Capitanes players scored in double figures. Capitanes will play next round against Osos trying to get back on the winning streak. Leones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
