Regular Season Round 3: Broncos - Taurinos 100-64

There was no surprise in Caracas where Taurinos (0-3) were outplayed by Broncos (2-0) 100-64 on Friday. Broncos outrebounded Taurinos 48-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was naturalized Dominican Kelvin Pena (193-1980, college: Southeastern) who scored 14 points and 7 assists. The former international point guard Garly Sojo (196-1999, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Broncos players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Dazon Ingram (196-1997, college: UCF) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import JD Weatherspoon (198-1992, college: Toledo) added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Broncos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Brillantes.
