Regular Season Round 3: Centauros - Llaneros 64-68

Centauros (1-1) recorded a loss in Margarita. Hosts were defeated by Llaneros (0-2) 68-64. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican point guard Yerri Flores (188-1996, college: High School) who led the winners and scored 21 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Center Carlos Rodriguez (206-1989) accounted for 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. The former international forward Elder Gimenez (186-1991) came up with 19 points and swingman Danny Arias (193-1997) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Centauros in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Llaneros will play against Guaros in Barquisimeto in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Centauros will play at home against Toros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
