Regular Season Round 3: Piratas - Cangrejeros 87-75

The most important game of round 3 took place in La Guaira where Piratas beat Cangrejeros (1-1) 87-75 on Friday night. It was a great evening for Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international center Javinger Vargas (202-1990) helped adding 19 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American Akeem Ellis (196-1990, college: Coppin St.) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Dominican swingman Luis Feliz (190-2002) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cangrejeros will play next round against strong Cocodrilos trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Piratas will try to continue on its current victory against Spartans in Caracas.
