Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Independiente (17-15) rolled over 8th ranked Colon SF (15-16) in Santiago del Estero 94-59 on Monday. Independiente dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Colon SF's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Emiliano Correa (188-1991) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side and forward Lucio Castellani (196-1994) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Independiente players scored in double figures. American forward Dwayne Russell (203, college: St.Thomas, FL) came up with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Tomas Botta added 15 points respectively for Colon SF in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
