Regular Season Round 18: Tinguiririca - Concepcion 87-114

Undefeated leader Concepcion delivered the seventeenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 14th ranked Tinguiririca (3-14) 114-87 in San Fernando. Concepcion forced 20 Tinguiririca turnovers and outrebounded them 34-23 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Concepcion players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Tinguiririca's players. It was a good game for international point guard Diego Silva (186) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists. Venezuelan Carlos Milano (198) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Gianncarlo Caraboni replied with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and center Sergio Chialva (-1994) added 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) in the effort for Tinguiririca. Four Concepcion and five Tinguiririca players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Concepcion (17-0) have an impressive 17-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 17 victories in a row. Tinguiririca at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with 14 games lost. Concepcion will play against Espanol T. (#13) in Talca in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Tinguiririca will play on the road against Puerto Varas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
