Regular Season Round 41: Gimnasia - Quimsa 81-77

An interesting game for Gimnasia (24-10) which hosted in Comodoro Rivadavia their close opponent Quimsa (24-10). Third ranked Gimnasia managed to get a 4-point victory 81-77. Gimnasia shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. American guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Cuban forward Yoanki Mensia (198-1997, agency: Pro Sports) chipped in 21 points. The former international forward Fabian Ramirez (200-1990) responded with 18 points and American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Quimsa's coach Juan Manuel Cordoba tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnasia moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Quimsa. Gimnasia will play against Argentino (#16) in Junin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Quimsa will play on the road against Obras (#7) in Buenos Aires and hopes to get back on the winning track.
