Regular Season Round 7: Panteras - Gladiadores 62-68

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Gladiadores' (6-1) road victory over 3rd placed Panteras (3-5) 68-62 on Saturday. It was a great evening for international point guard Gregory Vargas (181-1986, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Henry Walker (198-1987, college: Kansas St.) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Gladiadores players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Yeferson Guerra (192-2003, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and American guard Avry Holmes (185-1994, college: Clemson) scored 8 points and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gladiadores have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cocodrilos. Panteras at the other side keep the third place with five games lost. Gladiadores will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Panteras' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Caracas Spartans.
