Regular Season Round 7: Toros - Trotamundos 63-82

There was no surprise in Maracay where 4th placed Toros (1-5) were crushed by second ranked Trotamundos (5-2) 82-63 on Saturday. Trotamundos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Toros' players. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-1989) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Angel Blanco (179-1997) helped adding 15 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Dominican Braynt De La Cruz (195) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Brian Guidi (200-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Toros lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Diablos. Trotamundos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in La Asuncion to the arena .
