Regular Season Round 19: Puerto Montt - Espanol T. 114-88

Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked Puerto Montt (7-13) rolled over at home 13th ranked Espanol T. (4-12) 114-88 on Sunday. They outrebounded Espanol T. 49-34 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Puerto Montt looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Reggie Baker (193-1993, college: BCU) who led the winners and scored 39 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Josh Morris (203-1993, college: UTPB) accounted for 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Four Puerto Montt players scored in double figures. Puerto Montt's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Davon Haynes (203-1991, college: UAPB) came up with 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian forward Kaleb Vaughn (198, college: Lake Erie) added 30 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Espanol T. in the defeat. Puerto Montt have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eleventh place with 7-13 record. Espanol T. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Puerto Montt will meet Catolica (#12) in the next round. Espanol T. will play against Puente Alto having rather not much hope for a victory.
