The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Broncos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Broncos smashed 4th placed Llaneros in Caracas 85-64. Broncos made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Llaneros turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American swingman Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) fired 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. His fellow American import Erik McCree (202-1993, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. They share the position with Cangrejeros. Llaneros will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path.
