Regular Season Round 7: Piratas - Diablos 103-86

Everything went according to plan in La Guaira where leader Piratas (6-0) won against 4th placed Diablos (1-5) 103-86 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Dominican guard Juan Suero (196-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American swingman Qyidar Davis (198-1993, college: Indiana St.) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Dominican point guard Raimer Santana (183-1997) responded with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Colombian Alvaro Pena (197-1995) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Piratas and five Diablos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Diablos lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. They share the position with Toros. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
