Regular Season Round 41: Ferro - Quimsa 70-89

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Quimsa (24-10) outplayed 15th ranked Ferro (14-20) in Buenos Aires 89-70 on Monday. The former international forward Fabian Ramirez (200-1990) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Juan Laterza (180-1997) came up with 16 points and point guard Tomas Spano (183-1998) added 14 points respectively for Ferro in the defeat. Five Quimsa and four Ferro players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Quimsa moved-up to second place, which they share with Gimnasia. Ferro lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 20 games lost. Quimsa will meet Obras (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ferro will play against Platense (#8) and hope to secure a win.
