LNB top team - Concepcion (18-2) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Espanol T. (4-12) in Talca 121-65. Concepcion dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Espanol T.'s 36. They outrebounded Espanol T. 44-29 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Concepcion looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Espanol T.'s players. It was a quality performance for American forward Jerry Evans (203-1990, college: Nevada) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. International point guard Diego Silva (186) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Four Concepcion players scored in double figures. American forward Davon Haynes (203-1991, college: UAPB) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian forward Kaleb Vaughn (198, college: Lake Erie) added 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Espanol T. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-2 record. Espanol T. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Concepcion will meet Castro (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Espanol T. will play against Puente Alto (#4) and hope to secure a win.
