There was an upset in Buenos Aires where higher ranked Platense (19-13) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Ferro (15-20) 81-75 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was swingman Valentin Bettiga (189-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Lucas Gargallo (196-1995) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Ferro players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Uruguayan-Italian swingman Nicola Pomoli (195-1999) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward DeMarco Owens (203-1996, college: Montevallo) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
