There was no surprise in Olivia where 17th ranked Comunicaciones (9-25) was edged by thirteenth ranked Independ.O. (17-17) 95-93 on Wednesday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Independ.O. made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Comunicaciones outrebounded Independ.O. 46-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Salvador Giletto (195-1993) who scored 20 points. Power forward Fernando Martina (201-1981) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Luciano Guerra (184-1997) who recorded 19 points and 7 rebounds and center Eduardo Vasirani (206-1991) added 7 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Independ.O. and four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Independ.O. moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with San Martin and Riachuelo LR. Comunicaciones lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 25 games lost. Independ.O. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Comunicaciones will play against Atenas (#20) in Cordoba and hope to secure a win.
