Regular Season Round 4: Carl A-Z - CAN Oruro 95-100

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oruro: CAN Oruro (#2) and Carl A-Z (#8). Despite it looked like an easy game for CAN Oruro, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Host Carl A-Z challenged much higher ranked CAN Oruro giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by five points 100-95. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Detrek Browning (183, college: FMU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Deondre Wade (193, college: Seminole St.) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Samuel Valverde (-1999) responded with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Argentinian point guard Roberto Orresta (177-1991) scored 27 points. Four CAN Oruro and five Carl A-Z players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CAN Oruro have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Atletico Nacional and Saracho. Carl A-Z at the other side keeps the eighth place with three games lost. They share the position with Calero and Leones. CAN Oruro is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Leones (#10) in Potosi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Carl A-Z's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oruro Saracho.
