An exciting game was played in . Second ranked Dragons faced one of their biggest challengers Leona. Host Dragons (7-5) defeated guests from (4-7) 100-87. Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a good game for American point guard Kristina Puthoff-King (180-1992, college: Richmond) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import point guard Toynetta Johnson (172-1992, college: UWF) contributed with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Puthoff-King is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Aaliyah Rice (175-1997, college: Montevallo, agency: Domantay Sports) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Odalmis Diaz added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Leona. Five Dragons and four Leona players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragons maintains second position with 7-5 record having just three points less than leader Santiago. Leona at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Dragons will play against league's leader Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leona will play against Panteras and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
