Top ranked Concepcion (18-2) recorded its second loss on the court of third ranked Ancud on Friday night. Visitors were edged by Ancud 82-80. The best player for the winners was American power forward Tavrion Dawson (202-1996, college: CSUN, agency: One Motive Sports) who scored 28 points and 8 rebounds. The other American import forward Stephen Maxwell (201-1993, college: CSUN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds and Venezuelan Carlos Milano (198) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Concepcion players scored in double figures. Concepcion's coach Cipriano Nunez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ancud maintains third position with 14-5 record having five points less than leader Concepcion. Defending champion Concepcion still keeps top place with two games lost.
