Regular Season Round 10: Gaiteros - Centauros 63-67

There was a small surprise in Maracaibo where fifth ranked Centauros (5-5) beat one of their biggest challengers Gaiteros (5-5) 67-63 on Saturday. Spanish-Dominican power forward Jhonatan Araujo (206-1996) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Estonian guard Martin Paasoja (190-1993, agency: Helping Ballers) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. American guard Matthew Butler (188-1995, college: UT Martin) produced 21 points and his fellow American import point guard Ty Lawson (180-1987, college: UNC) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Centauros moved-up to third place, which they share with Panteras and Gaiteros. Centauros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gaiteros will play again against Centauros and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
