Regular Season Round 43: Quimsa - Boca 88-71

No shocking result in a game in Santiado del Estero where third ranked Quimsa (26-10) defeated 6th ranked Boca (22-13) 88-71 on Saturday. They outrebounded Boca 43-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American power forward Eric Anderson (204-1993, college: New Haven) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international Mauro Cosolito (192-1988) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. Five Quimsa players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international Leonel Schattmann (193-1987) responded with 21 points and the former international point guard Franco Balbi (188-1989) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Boca keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Quimsa will meet at home Argentino (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Boca will play against Platense (#9) and hope to secure a win.
