Top ranked Instituto (30-4) recorded its fourth loss in La Rioja on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Riachuelo LR (21-14) 66-62. It ended at the same time the 17-game winning streak of Instituto. Jeremias Barco fired 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Matias Bichara chipped in 12 points. Four Riachuelo LR players scored in double figures. Riachuelo LR's coach Pablo Rodrigo Pereyro used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Dominican Enmanuel Labata produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Juan Frontera (178-2002) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Riachuelo LR maintains sixth place with 21-14 record. Instituto at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Riachuelo LR are looking forward to face Atenas (#12) in Cordoba in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Instituto will have a break next round.
