Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Caracas: Heroes (#4) and Brillantes (#2). Heroes (6-4) won against visiting Brillantes (6-4) 97-90. Heroes made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Brillantes only scored four points from the stripe. Heroes players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for Dominican point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Orlando Johnson (193-1989, college: UCSB) helped adding 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 27 points and the other American import Jeremy Hollowell (203-1994, college: Georgia St.) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Heroes and four Brillantes players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Heroes have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Brillantes. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
