Everything went according to plan when second ranked Obera (30-6) outleveled at home 8th ranked Ferro (19-17) 79-60 on Sunday. Obera forced 21 Ferro turnovers. Guard Francisco Tarnowyk (192-2001) stepped up and scored 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Paraguayan power forward Hugo Caballero (190-2004) chipped in 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Obera players scored in double figures. Obera's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Facundo Wolinsky responded with 11 points and swingman Felipe Rodriguez (195-2003) scored 12 points. Obera maintains second place with 30-6 record having just two point less than leader Instituto. Loser Ferro dropped to the ninth position with 17 games lost. Obera will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ferro will play against Comunicaciones (#14) in Mercedes and hope to secure a win.
