Regular Season Round 6: Sesi/Arara. - Vera Cruz 86-69

LBF top team - Sesi/Arara. (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Vera Cruz (2-4) in Araraquara 86-69. They outrebounded Vera Cruz 49-26 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sesi/Arara. looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Vera Cruz's players. It was a good game for the former international power forward Aline Moura (185-1997) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Maila Ciciardi (168-1993) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Sesi/Arara. players scored in double figures. Sesi/Arara.'s coach Joao Camargo used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international swingman Carina Martins (175-1992) replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Izabella Sangalli (182-1995) added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Vera Cruz. Sesi/Arara. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Vera Cruz at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. Sesi/Arara. are looking forward to face LSB (#5) in the next round. Vera Cruz will play against Santo Andre and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
