Regular Season Round 33: Sao Paulo - Cerrado 95-64

There was no surprise when 17th ranked Cerrado (5-27) was outleveled on the road by fourth ranked Sao Paulo (22-10) 95-64. Sao Paulo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cerrado's 28. Sao Paulo had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The former international forward Tulio Da Silva (203-1996, college: Missouri St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Elinho Corazza (191-1989, college: Miami Dade CC) chipped in 14 points, 12 assists and 6 steals. Five Sao Paulo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Ruan Miranda (205-2001) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Daniel Von Haydin (194-1999) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sao Paulo moved-up to third place, which they share with Minas. Cerrado lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games.
