No shocking result in a game when first ranked Gladiadores (14-2) crushed 9th ranked Cangrejeros (2-10) in Caracas 100-75 on Thursday. Gladiadores shot 62.9 percent from the field. Gladiadores outrebounded Cangrejeros 37-26 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American Jordan Adams (196-1994, college: UCLA) who led the winners and scored 27 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international forward Anthony Perez (206-1993, college: Ole Miss) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Gladiadores players scored in double figures. Dominican swingman Luis Feliz (190-2002) came up with 19 points and American guard Duke Mondy (193-1990, college: Oakland, agency: BIG) added 14 points respectively for Cangrejeros in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gladiadores. They maintain first place with 14-2 record. Cangrejeros lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Diablos.
