Very expected game in Caracas where 9th ranked Taurinos (5-11) were crushed by second ranked Brillantes (11-5) 119-78 on Saturday. Brillantes dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Taurinos' 38. Brillantes forced 19 Taurinos turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Taurinos' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brillantes made 12 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard James Reese V (193-1998, college: S.Carolina) who scored 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import forward Glen Rice Jr (198-1991, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Brillantes players scored in double figures.
