The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Lobas (1-1) in Ciudad de Mexico on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Teporacas (2-0) 88-59. Teporacas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lobas' players. It was a good game for American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 6 assists. Naturalized American point guard Hazel Ramirez (165-1992, college: LMU) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Teporacas players scored in double figures. American-Bahrain power forward Brittany Lewis (188-1989, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international power forward Carolina Romo (179-1993) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lobas. Lobas' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Teporacas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
